Greer E. Noonburg, M.D. Greer E. Noonburg, M.D., received his medical degree 1992 from Dartmouth. His orthopaedic surgery residency was performed at Madigan Army Medical Center with affiliated training at Harborview Medical Center and Children?s Hospital & Medical Center in Seattle. He completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hughston Clinic. Dr. Noonburg is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He returned in March 2004 from a year-long tour in Iraq with the 240th Forward Surgical Team. Dr. Noonburg?s mobile trauma team treated wounded U.S. soldiers, Iraqi civilians and insurgents. He also served several tours with the U.S. Army Special Forces (before and after medical school), with overseas assignments throughout the Far East and Southeast Asia.
Dr. Noonburg specializes in sports medicine and related injuries, as well as shoulder and knee reconstruction/replacement. He has an active general orthopaedic practice with a particular interest in trauma. Dr. Noonburg recently co-authored a book chapter on elbow arthroscopy for a major orthopaedic text and has written articles for national as well as local medical publications.
